Histopathological spectrum of uterine lesions in hysterectomy specimens

Introduction: The most common complaint of women visiting hospital in the gynaecological outpatient department is abnormal uterine bleeding. Our aim to do a retrospective study and analyze histopathological specimen patients undergoing hysterectomy with vaginal Material Methods: All specimens fixed 10% formalin received pathology were examined studied for diagnosis. Specimens grossed, paraffin embedded tissue sections prepared stained hematoxylin eosin microscopic examination. Results: A total 55 hysterectomies Department period 1 year. Out 2 underwent unilateral salpingo-oopherctomy 12 bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy. Most findings after chronic cervicitis 48(87.3%) followed by leiomyoma 20(36.4%), adenomyosis (21.8%) endometrial hyperplasia (3.6%) women. Cervical malignancies observed cases. Patients salpingo-oopherectomy showed cystic changes 7 ovaries corpus luteal cyst 3 cases follicular Fallopian tube pathologically unremarkable paratubal case. Ovarian neoplasm reported patient.
